DVM, MS
Dr. Alli Blasko discovered her passion for veterinary medicine while out at the barn as a 12 year old. An equine vet came out to preg check mares, and she was hooked on horses and veterinary medicine ever since. She earned her Master’s Degree in Environmental Health in 2010, and went on to achieve her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 from Colorado State University.
Dr. Blasko completed an equine internship after graduation, and then practiced equine focused medicine for ten years. She always dabbled in small animal medicine to keep her skills sharp, working at a mixed animal practice as well as part time small animal work while balancing the rigors of being on call for horses 24/7. While in Arizona, she started her own equine mobile practice where she focused on compassionate and fear free care. After moving to Colorado, Dr. Blasko joined the Harmony team in late 2023 after being a relief veterinarian there for several months. “I think that everyone is a very cohesive team here, we always put what the pet needs first. As opposed to just trying to get things done fast, we go ahead and look at what the animal is telling us, and we try not to push it,” she says, remarking the value of a low stress environment for pets to be more comfortable at the clinic.
In particular, Dr. Blasko is interested in juggling multiple disease processes that can be challenging with our furry senior friends. Her primary focus is ensuring that each pet has a good quality of life. Making sure they feel both happy and healthy is an integral part of her job at Harmony Veterinary Center. She truly cares about the pets who come through our clinic doors, using her creativity to curate treatment plans that preserve the human-animal bond that all of us know and cherish.
Outside of work, Dr. Blasko loves spending time at the barn and riding her horse Shaggy, and jumping him over silly things. She is also an avid reader and audiobook listener. Dr. Blasko and her husband Kenny have four dogs (jokingly called “The Tiny Terror Brigade”) and two kitties.
