DVM, MS

Veterinarian

Hi, I'm Dr. Alli Blasko, a veterinarian here at Harmony Veterinary Center!

I discovered my passion for veterinary medicine while out at the barn as a 12 year old. I was taking riding lessons, and an equine veterinarian came out to pregnant check mares. I remember everyone else was disgusted, and I was fascinated! I have been hooked on horses and veterinary medicine ever since. I earned my Master’s Degree in Environmental Health in 2010 and went on to achieve my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 from Colorado State University.

I completed an equine internship after graduation and then practiced equine-focused medicine for ten years. I always dabbled in small animal medicine to keep my skills sharp, working at a mixed animal practice as well as part time small animal work while balancing the rigors of being on call for horses 24/7. While in Arizona, I started my own equine mobile practice where she focused on compassionate and fear free care. After moving to Colorado, I joined the Harmony team in late 2023 after being a relief veterinarian there for several months. I think that everyone is a very cohesive team here, we always put what the pet needs first. As opposed to just trying to get things done fast, we go ahead and look at what the animal is telling us, and we try not to push it.

Is there a part of veterinary care that you have a special interest in?

In particular, I am interested in juggling multiple disease processes that can be challenging with our furry senior friends. I do have a special interest in senior care and trying to focus on multiple disease processes and juggling them together to make sure that the pet has a good quality of life and is happy and healthy. I care about the pets who come through our clinic doors, using my creativity to curate treatment plans that preserve the human-animal bond that all of us know and cherish.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work, I love spending time at the barn and riding my horse Shaggy, and jumping him over silly things. I am also an avid reader and audiobook listener. My husband, Kenny, and I have four dogs (jokingly called “The Tiny Terror Brigade”) and two kitties.
