Dear Clients and Friends,

There is a trend across the country where people make multiple appointments at several different veterinary hospitals, taking the first one that best fits their schedule, and then not showing up or canceling their appointments with the other veterinary hospitals.

Harmony Veterinary Center is locally owned and operated; we staff our facility to meet the patient care needs. We notify all appointments and ask for confirmation 48 hours prior to the appointment. No show or short notice cancellations take appointments away from pets in need, prohibit staff from working as they are sent home, increase the costs to the business and ultimately to other clients, and restrict vital surgical time slots that can be utilized by other pets in need.

To be fair to all patients, our practice will be requiring new client and surgical deposits and implementing an existing client appointment cancelation fee based on appointment type. The following fees and deposits will go into effect immediately:

  • Surgical Deposit of $250 at time of making the appointment. This deposit is applied to the bill at time of service. It is forfeited if the appointment is canceled within 48 hours of the surgery date. It will be transferred if the surgery is rescheduled prior to 48 hours of the surgery date.
  • New Client Wellness Care Deposit of $65 at the time of making the appointment. This deposit will be applied to the bill at time of service. It is forfeited if the appointment is canceled within 24 hours of the appointment date. It will be transferred if the appointment is rescheduled prior to 24 hours of the original appointment date.
  • New Client Urgent Care Deposit of $95 at the time of making the appointment. This deposit will be applied to the bill at time of service. It is forfeited if the appointment is canceled within 24 hours of the appointment date. It will be transferred if the appointment is rescheduled prior to 24 hours of the original appointment date.
  • Existing Client Cancelation Fee of $65 for wellness care or $95 for urgent care will be billed for no show or cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment. We understand that there are times such as a medical emergency, death in the family or family crisis that will happen and may prohibit you from calling ahead. In these cases, please let us know as soon as you can, and we will work with you to get your pet’s appointment rescheduled.
